چکیده
Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) is an n-3 polyunsaturated fatty with health-promoting potential. This study was to investigate effects of supplemental DHA from Aurantiochytrium acetophilum on growth performance, health status, meat quality, and protein synthesis signaling broiler chickens . Day-old male chicks were housed in environmental control room (6 cages/treatment, 8 chicks/cage), fed a corn-soybean meal basal diet supplemented the DHA-rich A. biomass (Heliae, Gilbert, AZ) at 0, 1, 2, 4% (0, 1.7, 3.4 6.8 g DHA/kg diet) for 6 weeks. Growth performance measured weekly. Blood samples collected weeks 3 (2 chicks/cage). Four tissues sampled chicks/cage) biochemical quality analyses. Data analyzed by one-way ANOVA regression. Compared control, decreased ( p < 0.05) body weight gain (19%) feed ratio during 4–6. In conclusion, (6.8 DHA/kg), not 2%, impaired mass accumulation, and(or) broilers. • Supplemental g/kg chickens. weight. elevated chewiness, hardness, peroxides. modulated signaling.

An experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of dihydropyridine supplementation on growth performance and lipid metabolism of broilers. A total of 480 one-day-old female Arbor Acres broiler chicks were randomly divided into four groups, each group had six replications of 20 birds. Each group was fed a maize-soybean meal diet supplemented with 0, 100, 200, 300 mg/kg dihydropyridine, re...
متن کاملProduction of docosahexaenoic acid by Aurantiochytrium sp. ATCC PRA-276
The high costs and environmental concerns associated with using marine resources as sources of oils rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids have prompted searches for alternative sources of such oils. Some microorganisms, among them members of the genus Aurantiochytrium, can synthesize large amounts of these biocompounds. However, various parameters that affect the polyunsaturated fatty acids produ...

Aurantiochytrium limacinum, a marine heterotrophic protist/microalga has shown interesting yields of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) when cultured with different carbon sources: glucose, pure and crude glycerol. A complete study in a lab-scale fermenter allowed for the characterization and comparison of the growth kinetic parameters corresponding to each carbon source. Artificial Marine Medium (AMM)...
